Where I Inspect
I’m Ricky Ray, owner of Texas Pro Home Inspection, a TREC-licensed Professional Real Estate Inspector (#22916) and Certified Master Inspector® based in Fort Worth. I inspect homes across the western half of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex: all of Tarrant County, the fast-growing north side of the metro in Denton and Wise counties, Parker County out to Weatherford, Johnson County to the south, and Dallas itself. If it’s within about an hour of Fort Worth, I’ll come to you.
Some cities have their own page with details on what I see in that area’s homes. The rest are listed below by county. If you don’t see your town, call or text — the list isn’t a limit.
Tarrant County
Home base. Fort Worth, Keller, Southlake, Haslet, Colleyville, Grapevine, Westlake, North Richland Hills, Watauga, Hurst, Bedford, Euless, Saginaw, Lake Worth, Azle, White Settlement, Benbrook, Crowley, Arlington, and Mansfield. Tarrant County housing runs from 1920s pier-and-beam bungalows to this year’s new construction, all on the same expansive clay soil, and I’ve inspected thousands of homes here.
Denton County
The north side of the metro is where most of the new construction is. Roanoke, Justin, Northlake, Argyle, Trophy Club, Flower Mound, Highland Village, Ponder, Corinth, Lewisville, and Denton. A large share of my phased inspections and 1-year builder’s warranty inspections are in Denton County.
Parker County
West of Fort Worth, where lots get bigger and wells and septic systems become the norm. Weatherford, Aledo, Willow Park, Hudson Oaks, Annetta, Springtown, Brock, Peaster, and Millsap. Parker County sits in the Cross Timbers, where sandy soils and clay trade off within a few miles, and I inspect the accessible parts of private wells and septic systems along with the house.
Wise and Johnson Counties
Northwest along Highway 287: Rhome, New Fairview, Newark, Boyd, and Decatur. South along I-35W: Burleson, Joshua, and Cleburne. Both counties mix new subdivisions with rural acreage properties, and both are within easy reach of Fort Worth.
Dallas County
I also inspect in Dallas and the communities between Dallas and Fort Worth, including Irving, Grand Prairie, and the mid-cities. Dallas has the oldest housing in my service area, and older homes are something I inspect a lot of.
Don't See Your Town?
The list above covers where I work most, not everywhere I’ll go. If you’re buying somewhere on the edge of it — Granbury, Bridgeport, Sanger, Mansfield’s south side — call or text and ask. Most of the time the answer is yes.
